Well put about SBC, sounds like several lines of crap I have heard before
from them. I do run alot of stuff at once.....download from servers, download
from AOL and surf the web all at once. I chose the professional package from
SBC which is 3 mb, why offer it to me if they think I shouldn't use it all. I
had problems about 4 years ago when I first started using SBC, but for the past
three years they have be flawless for me. Then in the past two months I have
nothing but problems. They are sending a tech out Monday to check the line,
but if it keeps disconnecting on me I am not keeping this. I start a
download before I go to bed and get up in the a.m. and find that it lost its
connection and did nothign for 6 hours.
I opened my e-mail @ameritech.net and found over 100 pieces of spam and I
don't use their e-mail. I never have used SBC accoutn to send e-mails, but I
am
getting spam. I set up the e-mail account for newsgroups only to find they
don't offer any. I check the e-mail at least once a week and every piece of
mail in there is spam.
They contimuously blame my internal mosem for the connection problem. I
finally have a new modem and will see what happens from now until Monday, but
I
am thinking it won't be any better.
