Hi folks,
I'm attempting to upgrade a system by replacing the current mobo (Athlon
700) with an ABIT board and Sempron CPU.
PSU was replaced for one with a 12V connector and RAM replaced with PC2700
DDR DIMMS.
Trouble is the system fires (CPU fan spins) up for about 30 seconds and
then powers straight off.
I've double checked component compatibility, and tried alternative PSUs
and RAM. I've also tried with the bare mobo out of the case sitting flat
on an anti-static bag.
Any ideas? Faulty mobo, or have I missed something?
