Thanks for the response but I have already tried that.
The odd thing is, once I have changed any settings
from the toolbar, the toolbar no longer responds to
anything but as I said, if I minimize that window and
open Firefox again in another window it works
perfectly! I can then close the first window without
problem.
I might add that my OS is Suse Linux 9.2 but it has
worked correctly for several weeks until now.
