I just got the: Adapter Kit to Mount 2.5" HDD in 3.5" Drive Bay StarTech.com ID: BRACKET25
When I hook it up to my external usb hdd enclosure, it sees the usb connector okay---but it doesn't see the hdd. I then tried a known working laptop hdd and still had the same problem. Note: when I connect the adapter, there are 4 exposed pins. They must be the jumpers. All are open, setting it as "Master." BTW, it seems like there is only one way to hook up the laptop hdd in the connector scheme, so I doubt I did that wrong, but... Has anyone ever used one of these products?
