Welcome to the group Armitage, I hope you don't play golf :( I had a look at your siggy site, which one are you, Dick, Dave, Rod or Vic? Old timers like Rick prefer their old fashioned platforms, btw what OS do you use, XP or maybe WC?
My guess is that Rick is maybe using a prog like MW set to check for mail at set intervals and if it bounces any junk, Norton is maybe checking the bounced mails.
