Depends on what kind of difference you are talking about.
But what is important is not that there is a difference but
whether they know why there is a difference. Most people
would not care why, and many don't really know for certain
what the difference is. Once you have invested the time
to learn a new OS you might be unwilling to admit that
the difference is not so much better but just different.

Or maybe that human body stays away from the disease carriers.
I'm still not convinced that the apparent lower incidence of Linux
viruse and hacking isn't just that Linux is a vastly smaller uers base
and thus not worth writing viruses for or hacking.

I can't speak for other Windows users. I can talk from experience using
Linux. I have never been able to do anything productive with it, especially
when it comes to editing my existing files. I have tried about five distros
and several versions of some of them. And each time I try it I get so
frustrated not being able to do anything that I eventually just give up. If
I were really down on Linux I would not keep trying it. It is a bit of a
mental exercise. So is arguing with the Linux people talk like they are
brainwashed, saying the Linux is better because it is better.
I really wish that someone or company could set up a bunch of Linux machines
and a bunch of PCs and have some virus people write viruses for each type of
machine and see whether the Linux machines are really secure as Linux users
think they are.
