Hi Kay Great news, I am glad to hear you managed the reinstall. If it is running slow I can only suggest you may have virus/ adware / spyware on your pc, in which case you will have to run your Anti Virus program and also Spybot & AdAware to remove it. There is also the MS Beta Anti Spyware tool for XP, here
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/default.mspx That is the first step. Try that first and see if it makes any difference. The computer never booted up enough to get to System Restore. I was able to get to Safe Mode by using F8. I chose safe mode with CD-Rom. I re-installed Windows XP and it corrected whatever was wrong. The computer once again will boot up completely. I have noticed that my computer is now much, much slower. Is there anything I can to to correct this? Thanks again for all your help. Kay.
