No they usually realize that they need to provide information. I'd assume
that most would not set conditions for those trying to help.

Only as long as they follow suggestions and tell you what you ask for.
Telling the helper to read some document or to go back to some previous
message is asking too much. When this started happening I should have just
stopped answering. I didn't expect to be chastized for my style of helping.
