In Windows XP, the Blue Screen of Death is called a STOP error.  This
screen gives an error code which can be used to determine the problem
preventing your system from starting up.
The code can be cause by both software and hardware problems.
If you can't see the code because the system restarts, and you have
Service Pack 2 installed, select the "Disable restart on crash" from
the F8 boot menu.
The code is listed like this:
STOP 0x000000## %DESCRIPTION%
