I'd guess that this special folder may have been created by some non Windows program. When I had NIS [norton internet security] installed it created a junk mail folder and OE sent mail considered junk to that folder. If before you reformatted your machine had bundled software and the computer mfg. programs, that may be where those special folders came from. If you did a reformat install of the OS without any rescue disks, those original program will not of course be there any longer.
