W2000 is a better and more stable OS than W98. Your ram is a bit on the low
side but it is the
absolute minimum to run XP so it should run W2k. Your hd is also a bit on the
small side at 5.5 gb
but I think both W2k and MS Office will both check available disk space before
installing or at
least advise you how much free space is required for installation. At a guess
I think W2k would be
about 1.5 gb and MS Office about 200mb, not sure about MS Streets. I would
think you should be ok
so long as you don't expect to break any speed records ;-)

I have never used windows 2000 so I would like someones opinion that has.
I have a laptop with with 466 mhz and 128 ram and would like to know if
win 98 is better than win 2k or vice versa.
I only have 5.5GB hard drive and want to add MS office and MS streets
and trips and that is about it. Well a couple small programs like Adobe Acrobat.
What do you think?
