You will notive a loss of performance with only 128 MB of RAM.
I recommend a minimum of 160 MB for Windows 2000 to work properly and
not suffer from RAM related performance issues.
If you can get a low-cost 64 MB module for this notebook you should
install that when moving over to Windows 2000.
(64 MB is the minimum requirement, with 48 MS as the functional
minimum, any lower and the system will not boot.)
You might find 5.5 GB a littl confining but it should not be an issue:
Windows 2000: about 300 to 400 MB
MS Office: about 180 to 350 MB (depending on version and options)
MS Streets and Trips: about 150 MB
Swap File: about 600 MB
Hibernation File: equal to the installed RAM.
