Good morning Mr. Worth, I've read what you have said and I think some of it is a bit below the belt, a day after the event, particularly as you seem to have only recently joined this group. May I respectfully suggest that its a good idea to read some of the mails in the archives when one first joins a group. If you read back just a little way you will find that someone else commented on the structure of my mails; you'll see why and I'm presuming you have read the earlier mails. I'll agree though that you have a right to comment, after all, that's what these groups are all about.
I dont see the relevance of your comment about time zones, nor the number of mails I wrote, I didnt know there was a limit to what one can post; my purpose was to respond to comments made as other people contributed. For what it is worth, I live alone and being subscribed to a group allows those others such as I to be in touch with people. It's better than watching the television and the programmes of the comedian we had in the UK here of the same name as yours are no longer being shown. As to your two spf.exe files may I address this also to Rick who has commented this morning that of course I know that unless one is updating a version, one has to uninstal before reinstalling another download. That was what I did. Maybe someone is curious enough to go and try it for themselves and see with what result. I've had that problem before with fresh downloads of Sygate. With the version I had that was happily working before I got curious about Rick's link, I had to register my use with Sygate first. Maybe that's the reason why downloads from another source didnt work for me. I'm not about to find out. It does seem to me however that as there will inevitably be new threats, trojan or otherwise, the old Sygate firewall will have to be replaced. I do believe it was the fault of my server, because, odd things are happening so far as mail transmission is concerned and 404 errors; why only yesterday I got an error message telling me that my server had not responded and asking me should it wait or stop. I am sure you know of the error message. I *am* on broadband and reside on an Island four miles off the South Coast of England and I am quite sure that has something to do with the problems I am having. As I am tied to a contract with my until July 2006 you'll appreciate that recommendations as to server's in the UK will serve no purpose.
