I would imagine that dust covers are manufactured so that people can use them to cover their equipment and keep dust off! This one has never wondered why they are manufactured in the first place in fact, thinking about it, I rarely wonder why anything is manufactured, I have more trouble with something that has not yet been manufactured and hence do tend to wonder why it hasn't.
Regarding a factory environment, computer equipment is usually kept well away from dust and pollution enclosed in a filtered air conditioned encloser. With regard to your proposed kitchen installation, may I suggest moving your PC to the garage or better still the next door neighbor. Having had a new bathroom installed a few weeks back, I realise how much more dust there is going to be. I know too that in many factories where there are PCs they probably do not use the plastic covers one can buy. One wonders why they are manufactured in the first place and who uses them. > ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Get Bzzzy! (real tools to help you find a job).
