OK Rick I'll give it a spin next week, it seemed to suggest a daily defrag but that sounds a bit OTT to me. I'll let you know how I get on.

The big advantage of DLite is that it detects when the drive needs defragmenting and prompts you accordingly. Yes, it can appear to hang when running but will finish eventually! And no, you do not have to stop any background progs but it would help if you didn't use the PC when it's running!!! Rick Avast ye land lubbers!
