It all depends on the size of the drive and how often you save files. The 'record' was called the FAT before NTFS came along, I forgot what they call it in NTFS. Anyway. They don't erase the file they just replace the first letter in the file name, and maybe a rew other things. That's why when you used to undelete a file in FAT files systems the file name had no first lietter, you had guess when the first letter should be. When the file is deleted the space it took up is free for file system to use for new files. And running scan disk probably also does a number on deted files too, even mor thatn removing the fires letter of the file name. I can't imagine why you should want to see those de;teled files,. if have ten percent of any of the files I'd be surprised. Jim ------------------------ Yahoo!
