If you have DSL or Cable high-speed access to the internet, simply power off and then power on your modem. This will allow the modem to get a new (and different) IP address.
This is called a Dynamic IP address. Your ISP uses a 'pool' of addresses and gives them out on a random basis to each connection. If you use a dial-up modem, a new IP address is assigned to you on each connection. --- In [email protected], "Jen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > was chattin with this stranger-who happened to be on my msn list-who > knew how. argument came and the guy said he in IT in college and that > through msn he knew what my IP addy is, and that he would spam my Ip > addy-b/c i been swearing at him-which i haven't-well i do share it > with roomates. ok how can he do that-spam my IP, -he isn't a service > provider and all. and how did he find out my IP addy i did not give > it to him. he said spamming my IP would slow my internet connection > and all. > ------------------------ Yahoo!
