I would like to make a suggestion to Steven - and I hope that I am not out
of line. I find that all of your posts yesterday are very confusing
regarding your Norton problems since they all have a different subject line
and are hard to track - if only we could try to keep the subject line
together I would find it much easier to follow a member's problem and
possibly help with it.

I think that most of your Norton problems arose because you uninstalled and
then reinstalled your Norton software......(probably have problems in the
registry??)

I have windows XP home. I installed Norton AntiVirus 2005 on 3-30-2005. My
subscription is up on 3-30-2006. I uninstall and reinstall Norton on
2-7-2006. I was thinking by uninstalling it and reinstalling it that it
would give me another subscription year but it did not. It said the renewal
date was on 3-30-2006. If I wait a day after 3-30-2006. Then uninstall and
reinstall Norton will it have me reenter the subscription key and give me
one more year of subscription? Please help.

Subject Norton email error. Steven Boldt

I have windows XP home. I have Norton AntiVirus 2005. When I restart my
computer this message pops up.
"Symantec Email Proxy.
Symantec Email Proxy cannot scan your email messages because your network is
not properly configured". It has a support site under that but they cannot
help. When I go to Norton AntiVirus it says email scanning is on. I'm
using outlook express to read emails. I do not have a network. Does anyone
know why that message would pop up if when I go to Norton and it says email
scanning is on? I uninstalled Norton when it was going on. Then I
reinstalled it and it is still happing. How can I fix this? Does this
message popup mean I'm not safe from email viruses? Please help.
