Hi:
You can go ahead and install AOL9 with no problems. Then when
it is installed just go back to the control panel and
select to uninstall AOL. You will advised it is searching for installed
versions and now it will report you have three AOLs. Click the two you
no longer want and you should be ok. If the uninstall freezes or does not
proceed as supposed to, you will need to delete the folder files for the two
AOL7s you have and you should have no more trouble. It is possible you
have a corrupt AOL7 uninstall file.
After you delete the unwanted versions you will no longer be able to detect
them in the control panel. AOL9 is a much advanced version and you should
enjoy.
You should also download the NEW AOL "Explorer" and sign up for the free
AOL eMail. AOL Explorer may already be on your new install CD but runs
independent from AOL9.
