Wrong Dee:

AOL9 is for Dial up AND broadband, and comes with 10 hours a month
of included dialUp time for $14.95. There has been no changes in that
regard. There have been several version changes in AOL9 though and
the latest CDs are "AOL Security Version". You can install the latest
version from the new CDs on just go to AOL and do an "Upgrade". You
can install any number of AOLs on your PC and use each or remove the
older versions. Older AOL9s for instance did not have the "as you type
word correction feature".

Both Dialup and broadband versions are automatically integrated in the
installation procedure. AOL automatically finds the speed of the
connection you have selected and provides the proper version. For
instance you will not get streaming video when connected as dialup.
The new CD will also install the new AOL Browser free and let you sign
up for their version of Gmail free. You use "AOL Explorer" independent
from AOL9. For other than the new CD, just go to AOL keyword
"AOL Explorer" to find the download link. Fairly neat with tabs etc.

When you first install AOL it does a search for your methods of connection
and it will let you select how you want to connect, and will find all your
modems.
If it finds a DSL it may ask you if you want to use that, but you can
continue to
set up dialup. If you setup for Cellular you might get either of the
versions
depending on your connection speed. It needs to go over a certain speed to
get streaming video and more complex graphics.

After you make an initial choice it will default to that each time you sign
on but
to change your connection method you just select your choice in the sign on
GUI. If you have not previously setup dialup of course you will need to
setup
a new "location".
