Thanks for the instructions. I skimmed over the files anyways (I found no files on both my master and slave drive and nothing in the registry), but I can assure you there are no Symantec files on this system. I've been working with computers since DOS and sadly have a lot of experience using both Format and FDisk codes thanks to a terrible old computer I used to have with constant problems. When the problems with Norton started up, I did the usual uninstall, ran SymClean and went through manually to remove extra files. I didn't bother with Registry files back then. My system crashed back in June because of a hardware problem and I had to completely wipe the drive clean to get it going again. There's no possible way Symantec files could have remained on the drive, and I have not reinstalled them or even bothered with their website anymore. Today was the first time in well over a year I visited their site looking for tech support about the problem.
This really stumped me since it has never happened before though, so I was hoping somebody would have some idea what is going on, or know where I could contact Symantec Tech Support online about the problem. LoL I have no idea where that message is coming from. Wherever it is coming from though, it is from somewhere very recent :( Thank you again! - Atryeu --- In [email protected], Ivan Wilson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Formatting is different than FDISK.
