Hello agaion everyone,
I once again need some help. I have a large mpg file that I want to
burn on disk but it is 1:17:45 minutes long (775 mb)and there is not
enough space on the disk to burn it, is there any way I can shrink the
file to fit on the disk without distorting it?
Thanks,
Cindy
Hi Cindy:
Since I am not sure you got any help with your question I'll try
a reply. I do not ever do any compression so I'm the last guy
you should listen to. This is just an observation. Remember
mpg's are already highly compressed.
I checked a small folder of my Pictures and in properties it showed
the folder contained 732 MB of pictures. Then I right clicked the
desktop, then selected new, then selected "compressed ZIP folder"
An empty ZIP folder was created on my desktop. Then I dragged
the 732 MB picture folder into the ZIP folder and checked the
properties there. The ZIP folder was down to 512 MB. I opened
the ZIP folder and the pictures still look ok.
I probably have ZIP loaded on my PC somewhere and I might need
ZIP to view the folder. WINZIP is an easy download. On doing a search,
I find WINZIP all over my PC. This may be all you need.......
Hope this helps.
Emile
