If you have turned off Norton FW and the XP FW and have no other FW's installed
it can't be a FW problem unless you are connected through a Router with a
hardware FW.

Finally, I don't particularly like the idea of having your FW permanently
disabled, if I were you I would try to configure it to allow the Limewire
access.

I am having problems with a firewall on my 4.10 limewire. I have
turned mine off through the control panel. Can anybody tell me how to
correct this? I am also getting the message that the firewall is not
letting me connect to the their network. Any sugesstions?

I have windows XP. My Firewalls, that I have shut off & want to
remain shut off so I can download fromlimewire,I shut the norton ones
off, I removed an AVG program so I really don't know what other
firewall I could have onmy computer. How do I go about adding the
Limewire IP address as a trusted site?

Thank you for this help
