Perhaps your isp blocks the ports used by Limewire?

Subject: [A-1-Computer_Tech] Limewire

I am running a 4.10 limewire on a windows xp on a wireless internet
system. I thought I was having Firewall problems with my limewire, I
now know its a connection problem (I am suspecting its through my
local internet). When I was out of town & at a motel I could search &
download w/ limewire w/ no problems but now back home can't do any
searches. I am always getting the message of trying to connect.
After a while a get a message about not being able to connect & then
it locks up my computer. Does anbody have a suggestion, what is
causing this & how to correct this? Thank you
