>>Buy a 1 or 2GB Thumb Drive. You will love it!!!

I totally agree Ivan, we seem to call them USB Flash sticks in the UK, I bought
a 500mb one a while back and it is so handy for transferring data between pc's.
I have just ordered a 1 gig stick because it is so easy to mislay them, they
are
so small you can attach them to your keyring and ideal if you have a laptop.

>>When unplugging a USB device (thumb drive, capture device) is it
>>advisable to use "Safely Remove Hardware" before unplugging it?

I never do, I just pull it out of the usb port on one pc and plug it into the
usb port on the other pc, all that happens is the "ding dong" MS warning sound
just before the XP popup regarding the type of data on the new portable drive
it
has just discovered and you just click cancel or close.
