But the fact that you have to reset them means the battery is weak/bad. The 
battery powers the cmos ram which keeps the bios clock up to date. You can 
get along without time/date if you want although your files will have an 
incorrect date stamp unless you do reset the time and/or date. I won't 
describe how to replace the battery since someone already has.
