Not purposely.  I tried going into Safe Mode ... pressing F8 ... but nothing 
ever displays.  I suspect that POST is not running ... stops short of 
running it.  I was leaning toward maybe a bad main switch?   The cd tray 
will open, so is getting power.  The power supply is runing and it's fan is 
running.  The processor has a fan which is also running.  I also reset and 
moved the memory RAM to a diff. bank ...   ... there is only one ... 256K
