Do I pop out the CMOS battery, or is there a better way of doing this?

Have you try hitting the resetting button for the CMOS. I know when I was 
overclocking my CPU this happen to me where it would go from amber to green 
back to amber and once I reset the CMOS the moniter and everything went back 
to normal.
