Silk,

> Perhaps when installing win2000 I made an error?

No doubt. I have been there and done that when installing an OS. Sometimes
the options are not clear. Sometimes they says the the hard drive will be
formatted, other times it is only C: Generally whan they say the latter it
means that only that partition will be affected.

>any suggestions on how to retrieve the Info that was stored on D?

I don't know of any easy or inexpensive strategies for this situation. I
have had multiple back ups for quite awhile now.

Not likely.

Maybe someone else has a solution, but this is often a job for an expensive
process or person. You have to decide whtther your data is worth a large
fee.
