Hello,
I was thinking of doing the same. I have HAD it with OE.
I recently reformatted my older PC. Its working just fine. I got all
my stuff back into it and was prepared to move on.
I had to reconfigure my email ( the dreaded OE ). I could not log in,
it kept asking for a password which is the same as ever.
I called MSN tech support...WHAT A NIGHTMARE! We were not commuicating
at all. I tried calling three more times and decided to give up on the
derned thing. I am an old fashioned girl, still on dail-up, which is
enough for me. I realized I needed the pop3 and smtp addresses to
receive and send mail. I called ONE more time and asked this woman who
took my call to just give me that info. The addresses didn't work and
I am still being asked for a password and being denied access. If I
want to use Thunderbird, I still NEED that info, DON'T I...how can I
find out without having to go thru the "tech loop" again? I have gmail
and yahoo mail, but I want to use either OE or Thunderbird(
preferable)...how can I get this accomplished?
All ideas appreciated.
Violet
