No fans or any noises really. I decided to try an experiment. I removed the LCD and hard drive and installed them in a 460cdt that I bought some time ago for parts. In this one the hard drive does function. If I look very closely I do see it boot, but, it is extremely dark. You could certainly not see it well enough for normal use. I hooked up a regular monitor. It does flash, but, that is about it. At this point I don't know if it is the lcd, Inverter or something else. These units to not have a brightness control on the bezel, so, if there is a way to brighten it, I don't know what it is.
I must say that with the 480 I got nothing, just a blank screen even with an external monitor. No fan or any other noice and you could not even hear the hard drive boot. It was like it stopped even though there were function lights. Sorry about deleting previous comments, but, I belong to quite a few groups on various subjects and most request that previous comments are deleted as after a while they get very lengthy if all comments remain. I will try to remember not to do that here. --- In [email protected], "John" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hi: > > I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 480CDT.
