I just bought my first cd-r or cd rewritable actually. I tried
recording on some cd-r's this morning. The first one worked fine,
although it was a live album and has spaces between songs and the
original did not. The next two crashed after recording almost the
whole cd it crashed saying bad or incompatible media. Of course being
a cdr-r it cannot be used again. Is this a common problem and what
could be the cause? Is it a bad cd-r or a bad source disk? Which
types of disks are better cd-r or cd-rewritable? Are they very
sensitive to scuffs and scratches on older cd's to be recorded? or the
same on destination disks? Any help appreciated.

                                              John
