I wrote that it was Windows 98
The install disk are Hewlett Packard recovery disks that came with 
the computer.

When I put those in at the beginning of booting up, it doesn't do 
anything.  I don't want to get rid of the computer, but it's not 
doing anything but sitting in my son's room catching dust and 
holding hats :-(
