How do I stop my PC from automatically launching a CD when I insert
one into my drive?

1. Open Windows Explorer.
2. Right-click on your CD-Rom or DVD-Rom drive.
3. Select 'Properties'.
4. Choose the 'Autoplay' tab.
5. Select a content type from the drop down menu (for example 'Music
files').
6. Choose the 'Select an action to perform' radio button below the
drop down menu.
7. Select 'Take no action'.
8. Click 'Apply'.

Repeat steps 5 to 8 for all the file formats you are likely to run
off a CD or DVD.
