I'm still stuck. I double checked, as far as I know all the programs that have been registered with Windows still are.
Been trying various things, including an uninstall of Eudora and a reinstall on to the My Book drive. I thought maybe having everything on one drive would make a difference, it doesn't seem to. I went into Zone Alarm and made sure "allow program interaction" was checked, it hadn't been. That hasn't made a difference either. I tried reregistering, that didn't work. I can't afford right now to get the new version of Eudora, maybe that will do it. Thanks for the Thunderbird suggestion, but I like Eudora and want to keep it. It's been a good program for me until this. The only other thing I can think of that I haven't tried yet is to allow it server options in Zone Alarm, or uninstall and reinstall on C drive and backup every night to the My Book.
