Yep, whenever I download a program, pay or free, I download to the desktop 
and then copy it to a folder shortcut that leads to the D drive. I call it 
download but it has become where I move anything on my desktop that is NOT a 
shortcut. I do that because I frequently either clone my C partition to a 
clone drive or back to the C drive. I also run my recover system every so 
often. I use the term 'system' because it is sometimes a disk [single or a 
set] or a hidden partition drive. In other words my systems are always works 
in progress.
