Hi Dave

The clue here is "removable" so they are probably USB drives, which could be 
flash sticks, that is until you mentioned digital camera.  My guess is that in 
your attempts to connect to your camera memory card you are maybe retrying by 
plugging into different USB ports.  However, I have seen some camera flash 
cards 
connected to a pc, show up as 3 or 4 separate removable drives.  In any case if 
you remove the USB connection to the camera flash card the removable drive 
letters should disappear and if they do not they should do on reboot of your 
computer.

  This seems to be the most logical, could these have to do with my digital 
camera, which I cannot seem to fully download at the moment.  But that's a 
separate problem.
