Good for you for laughing Patty

That is a most unusual problem because the program that opens .eml files is
indeed Outlook Express or more specifically msimn.exe which can be found in
"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe". You could try browsing to this
location when you are asked which program should be associated with opening
this
file. However, it is most unusual that you should receive .eml files as
attachments but if this is what is happening the program that opens such files
is msimn.exe which can be found on the above mentioned path.

Lol, I am thinking that I am in need of an education, and not my computer!
The file type on the e-mails that won't open are .eml, my OS is Windows XP,
and I use Outlook Express for my e-mail. And now I am ready for that
education!
                                                Thank you so much!

Hi. I wrote a few days back regarding a problem I am having opening
attachments. Recently nearly every e-mail that has an attachment can't be
opened because it hasn't a file associated with it. When I try to open it,
it says that it is an unknown file type. I am not sure why this problem
started or how to fix it. I tried to create an associated file type, but
since the type is unknown, how do I do that?

I hope that this makes sense to somebody out there, as it is becoming a very
frustrating problem for me.

be able to offer,
