We have a similar scheme for Council employees, they pay rent on a Higher 
Purchase scheme over 3 years with a right to buy at the end of the period but 
the monthly payments are before tax is deducted from their pay so effectively 
tax free.  The price of the computers was however quite expensive when compared 
to other commercial deals direct with Dell.  I wouldn't mind betting that Dell 
will offer a deal for another replacement computer at the end of the 3 year 
period with a discount for trade in.

Chris, I have found that some places ofemployment have what they call a [EPP] 
Employee Purchase Program. If they[Employer] have a contract with Dell for all 
of their Computers, some companieshave this little known program. It works like 
this, they will give you adiscount plus your payments come out of your 
paycheck. 
I think it is around 10payments at around $100.00 per paycheck, or something to 
that effect. So, youmight want to check and see if your employer has this 
program or one of yourmany friends.
