Evening all :-)

I have a Canon i860 printer that uses 6 tanks for its ink. The blue
ink has always been a bit of a pain; it creates a mess inside the
computer. I have checked seating of the whole thing and of the blue
cartridges themselves, and they seem to be fine. Cleaning the blue
ink off has become an occasional habit.

This afternoon I noticed that the yellow cartridge was printing
blue. The cartridge had popped up, so I pushed it back
down. Unfortunately, everything yellow was still blue. The
cartridge has two tanks, one of the ink, and the other what I thought
was a waste sponge. On closer inspection, the "waste sponge" part is
the only opening I found, so the ink has to be coming through there,
so I was wrong. There is a big blue spot on that part of the sponge.

I have another yellow cartridge, but I just opened this one not too
long ago, so saving it is a good idea. I tried scraping the blue off,
but as expected, that didn't work. Is there any easy way to get this
blue off of the cartridge, and to clean it out of the carrier?

Thanks
Theresa
