Thanks Alberto, I finally got the CD & DVD Drive working. I haven't tackled the Printer and Scanner yet.
I had to uninstall and restart several times before one of them finally showed up under MY computer. Then I used the installation disk to get the other one going. The Restore that several people suggested would not work. It only gave me the option of going back either 2 days or 3 days. I tried both, but it said a restore could not be done. There was no reason as to why. I have tried the restore a few times in the past, but it has never worked for me. Thanks for all the Help....Skipper --- In [email protected], Alberto Lamberti <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Try the following: > > Right click on My Computer, left click on Manage > Under "Computer Management", left click on plus sign to expand > In the left pane, Select "Device Manager" > Your PC will show in the right pane > Left click on plus sign to expand > See if there are any yellow exclamation marks on any devices .If so, double click on the device to see what the error message is and what steps can be taken to resolve the issue > You can also right click on the PC name in the right pane and select "Scan for Hardware Changes" > > Regards, > > Alberto > > > ----- Original Message ---- > From: skipper4700 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: [email protected] > Sent: Wednesday, April 4, 2007 10:38:56 AM > Subject: [A-1-Computer_Tech] DVD Drive Disappeared > > My CD, DVD, Drives, Printer and Scanner have disappeared. > One day they were there, a few days later they were gone. > When I click My Computer, it does not show the CD or DVD Drives. > It shows the A-Drive the C-Hard Drive and the USB-Drive, but no > CD-Reader or DVD-Burner.
