May I just say that people join groups such as this either seeking
advice or wishing to impart some of their knowledge onto others.
Nowhere in the rules of the group does it say that certain members
have all the answers and that their view points are final.
I myself have had a run in over some advice that I posted in response
to anothers request for assistance, with the very same two gentleman
who are once again continueing to wage war against each other.
What I can see is that these gentlemen with a lot of knowledge to
share with the rest of the members and that scoring points of each
other as to wether this or that program is best, be it anti virus are
what ever is doing the group no service at all. In a lot instances
it is a multitute of things that make one person prefer one program
over another, just as we all have our own favorite colours, foods
etc.
The members of this group are grown up enough to make up their own
minds over which piece of advice they have been given, best suits
them, there is no legal comeback should anything go wrong and people
know and accept this fact at the time of joining.
So as it is the season of goodwill to all men, I invite Ian and Ivan
to call a truce and work together for the good of the groups future
before they become a small group of just 2 as members appear to be
leaving because of their war against each other.
If I was a moderator of this group I'm afraid that I would have given
them both a red card by now as groups membership is clearly suffering
as a result. So please Ian and Ivan, you both raise some very
intereasting points, both clearly passionate about the subject, both
have stacks of knowledge to share, please stop the swipes at each
other and others, put your points forward and leave it to the person
who raised the question in the first place to decide which advice
they take.
If you have any questions or problems with any aspect of this site, please feel

issues directly to the group.
