Well 1216mb sound an odd number to me so did he check the you computer slots took odd RAM sticks?
The sound card may not be seated in its slot properly but it may be the wrong one. You need the mother board name and version to check on line. Find this info via Start/Programs/Assessories/System Tools/ System Information. -------Original Message------- From: Melanie Date: 03/01/2008 16:14:35 To: [email protected] Subject: [A-1-Computer_Tech] Lag prob Hi, I have a problem with lag on my computer when games are played especially WOW which my son plays. For Xmas he added extra RAM making the total 1216mb then tried to add a graphics card-the original being integrated, the new one wasn't recognised and still isnt, which now we think is the wrong one. The whole system has been reset from scratch, the whole comp works fine apart from still the game playing prob-system restore done, cleanup and defrag done still the same. Any ideas as can't understand the lag when he has plenty of Ram? He has also visited "canIrunit.com" he has way past the recommended specs.
