I'm running on Windows XP and I tried Internet Explorer for the second
time and it would NOT LET ME ONLINE. I would click on the blue "e"
and it would tell me that I'm working offline and if I didn't want to
continue to work offline, I should click on Tools in the tool bar and
uncheck "work offline" and I did. It still wouldn't find the
connection, so I uninstalled it. So how do I turn off the yellow icon
telling me I have updates ready to install? I don't want IE 7 but I
need it for work. This is really ticking me off (along with the rest
of America who doesn't want IE 7).
