Hi:
Funny you should say that, cumbersome, I hardly think so. AOL appears as
fast as anything else I've tried and certainly the easiest to use, and the
settings let me do things the way I want them.

>As long as you don't mind it taking over your computer programs and
streaming you with constant adverts I guess not.

Free never seems to be the best deal, and for me with McAfee, $9.95 a
month is little to pay for all the security and peace of mind I get, and
besides, McAfee is not what I pay for but rather the AOL services I get.

>AOL do a deal with McAfee and get if free then charge you monthly to use it
Does not sound like a good deal to me on top of ISP fees

And, I prefer not to assume anything until the problem has been identified.
I have been in one repair business or another for over 55 years and I
learned that, to make a living at it, one could not afford to do work that
did not
lead straight to the identified problem. It's a good thing Doctors don't
work your way. I sure would hate being treated for the flue if I had
malaria.
But, come to think of it, some DRs do work that way, or so it seems.
But, I guess, everybody has their way and I don't usually criticize
anybodies
choices or methods. Seems though that the person said they already had
Virus
protection that had not identified a virus. Bye.

> I belive they said they thought they had a virus that their current
protection had not found. The analogy with medicine is not quite the same is
it, Computers are not a life and death matter. I have been around just as
long and of course when I visit a computer I can talk to the owner and see
the machine. On a list I suggest a quick easy way to answer their question.

I am not criticizing your choices only you apparent condemnation of what I
suggested to the user.

Heh Ya:
You spent a long time on that one. A little misguided and confused but I
liked it. Bye

Emile
