I have only had winxp for a couple of years now- I can still not find out how to Back-up my system with XP. I don't know of any way to back up a computer using only the Windows OS. I have used Norton Ghost and other programs that create a full copy of the C: partition. The destination can be another partition on the same drive or an external hard drive. Even a DVD-R or RW. or a dual layer disk. Of course the disk has to have enough empty space to handle the whole C: partition plus some extra space.
