Subject: [A-1-Computer_Tech] simple (?) question...I think

When I start to type into a search box or type in a screen name....all
of the previous ones pop up. How do I get rid of this??? It's driving me
crazy! I don't want these things saved. I don't want all these drop
downs every time I try to type something in. I also don't want to click
on the arrow in my search box and see all the searches. I'm sure it's
the setting but I don't know how to undo it.

I've tried going through:
control panel, security, internet options, and deleting all the saved
files but it still happens.

This started happening when my husband had to reboot/reinstall the whole
system a few months ago because of a virus.

Oh...I have a gateway 420gr and windows XP. If that helps.

Thank you......
