Would you tell people to do what they are comfortable re: locking the  
door of their home. I would tell them to lock their doors, and I would  
tell them to use a secure password, which starts by NOT using plain  
language. If I think I know something that may help people, I will  
tell them. It's up to people to evaluate advice and act accordingly. I  
think most people recognize the risk of not having a secure password,  
but they may not realize that plain language is much less secure.
