> Ghosting: Partition Magic 8

PM is what I use, but the process of ghosting has at least two
elements. One is choosing the partition to ghost and the second it to
decide where to save the ghost file, whether to burn an optical disk
or just clone to another partition. If you clone to an optical disk
you probably want the disk to be bootable. I have never done it that
way, maybe because the early versions I used did not seem to clone to
an optical. That may NOT have been the case but I found just cloning
to a partition was easier. The version of PM that I used created a
bootable CD that did the cloning and you could clone C or any
partition to one of the spare partitions. And of course clone the
result back to C.
