Ivan every time i try to open any program it tells me that the system is shuting down and will let me know if there is a soultion and just shuts down Hi: You aught to try a Windows System Restore. If you are unable to reach the Restore calendar from within XP, you can do it from the [F8] boot options menu, (safe mode), by clicking "safe mode with command prompt". At the command line type> cd \ to make sure you are at the root of "C". From C:\ type the following> windows\system32\restore\rstrui and that will open the Restore calendar and let you set a restore date from before you started to have your problem.
